Nepal Flash Flood 2026 Astrology: A Complete Jyotish Case Study

Nepal Flash Flood 2026 – Complete astrological analysis of a natural disaster

At 10:59 local time on 26 August 2026, a glacier failed on Langtang Lirung. A debris-water flood erased Gyirong Port (Rasuwagadhi) and ran 100 kilometers down the Trishuli system.

This page presents Pancha Siddhi’s findings on Nepal flash flood 2026 astrology – a strictly retrospective study within our Jyotish research library. It forecasts nothing.

Furthermore, we fixed every chart parameter before reading a single planet. Consequently, any reader with standard software can recompute every figure below and check our work independently.

That reproducibility is the entire point of this study.

Key Insights

  • Jupiter occupied Ashlesha pada 1 during Nepal’s 2015 earthquake and again during the August 2026 flood – just 0°43′ apart.
  • Not one benefic aspects the Lagna. Only Saturn and Mars influence it.
  • Sun and Ketu conjunct in the 12th, forming Surya-Grahan Yoga: a chart without light.
  • The Venus Prana-Antardasha ran only 25–27 August 2026, a two-day window containing the collapse.
  • Every planet has its minimum Shadbala, full strength to deliver results

Nepal flash flood 2026 complete astrological analysis - D1 event chart

An event chart, or Prashna-style mundane horoscope, treats a moment of physical occurrence as a birth. We cast this event chart for 28°16′47″N, 85°22′40″E – Gyirong Port at Rasuwagadhi. A chart requires one place. Therefore we chose the point where the flow struck a named, populated location on recorded footage.

We used Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa at 24°13′45″, the whole sign house system, and Jagannatha Hora 8.0 running Swiss Ephemeris from JPL DE431. Additionally, we restricted the vargas in advance to D-1, D-9 and D-30, and the timing system to Vimshottari Dasha. The tithi was Shukla Chaturdashi.

A Lagna with no support at all

The Lagna, or ascendant, marks the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the chosen moment. It rose at Virgo 18°35′, Hasta pada 3. Its lord Mercury, however, goes into the 12th house, combust by 1°35′ to Sun and conjunct Ketu.

Venus compounds this. As Jala-karaka, the natural significator of water, and as lord of the 2nd and 9th, Venus sits in the Lagna itself – debilitated. Debilitation, or neecha, marks a planet in the sign of its least capacity. Moreover, no neecha-bhanga cancellation applies, because Mercury occupies neither a kendra nor a trikona from Lagna or Moon.

Retrograde Saturn in the 7th casts its full aspect back on the Lagna. Mars, lord of the 8th house of sudden transformation, casts its 4th aspect from the 10th. Therefore not one benefic touches the ascendant. Indeed, a configuration that occurs rarely.

Moon, Jupiter and the Water Sign

The Moon occupies Capricorn 14°56′, Shravana pada 2. Shravana carries a classical association with mountainous terrain and landslide, while Capricorn, an earth sign ruled by Saturn, signifies rigidity, compression and frozen mass. Indeed, a glacier is precisely rigid water held in an earth structure.

Jupiter sits exalted in Cancer, a cardinal water sign, and casts its 7th aspect directly on the Moon. Notably, the Moon is Jupiter’s own dispositor, since Cancer belongs to the Moon. Expansion therefore falls upon the significations of the Moon here.

Considering the glacial lake, consequently, the chart shows water expanded due to a destabilized glacial rock falling in to the lake. Mars, the 8th lord, then casts its fierce and killing 8th aspect on that same Moon, further confirming the agenda of planets.

Surya-Grahan in the 12th house

The Sun and Ketu conjunct within 3°19′ in the 12th house, forming Surya-Grahan Yoga, an eclipse in a chart, indicating an absence of light. Ketu, the descending node, carries a Mars-like agenda: sudden, seismic, unannounced.

Moreover, the 12th house governs remote and isolated places, and losses that occur beyond witness. The failure began high on an uninhabited flank, and much of it happened where nobody could see.

What divisional charts, D9 and D30 confirms

Navamsha D-9 chart of the Nepal flood 2026 showing Chandra-Grahan yoga with exalted Moon and Ketu
Trishamsha D-30 chart of the Nepal flash flood 2026 with Pisces Lagna and Gulika Mandi

The Navamsha – D9, divides each sign into nine parts and tests the underlying outcomes of a chart. Here the Moon reaches exaltation, yet conjoins Ketu, forming Chandra-Grahan, the lunar counterpart of the solar eclipse yoga above. Meanwhile both Rahu and Ketu acquires same houses as D1, and gets debilitated.

The retrograde Saturn acquires same house in D9 and casts its powerful 7th aspect on the lagna. here, being lord of 8th and 9th house. Mars sits in the 9th house.

The Trishamsha – D30, is the classical varga of misfortune. From the view point of Jyotish Samhita, its Lagna falls in Pisces, a water-sign. Furthermore, the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Gulika and Mandi all sits in the 1st house. Mercury, once again, goes to the 12th.

Vimshottari Dasha - Timing the Nepal Flash Flood 2026

Vimshottari Dasha divides a life, or an event’s timeline, into nested planetary periods.

Nepal Flash Flood 2026 Astrology Vimshottari Dasha Timing

Moon Mahadasha ran from 12 December 2022 to 12 December 2032. Jupiter Antardasha opened on 12 November 2025. Venus Pratyantar ran 8 July to 29 September 2026, roughly 52% elapsed at the moment of disaster. Jupiter Sookshma-Antardasha on 20-31 August 2026. Finally, Venus Prana-Antardasha takes place from 25 to 27 August 2026.

That significant final window happens for two days. The disaster happened exactly in middle of it on 26th August 2026, at around 10:59 hours CST.

Observe the dispositor chain. Moon, Jupiter and Saturn hold no external dispositor between them. Cancer and Pisces are water signs, while Capricorn is the earth sign that materializes what water carries. Additionally, the Moon itself stood just under halfway through Shravana pada 2, near its midpoint peak.

The Jupiter Return - Nepal 2015 and Nepal 2026

Jupiter’s position repeats across Nepal’s two massive disasters. During the earthquake of 25 April 2015, Jupiter stood at Cancer 18°57′, Ashlesha pada 1. On 26 August 2026 it stood at Cancer 18°13′,  Ashlesha pada 1 again. The separation distance measures 0°43′ only.

Jupiter’s sidereal period is 11.862 years. These disaster dates are 11.34 years apart. Very close to the completion of Jupiter’s period, hence pattern repeated.

Saturn was retrograde in both charts, in Scorpio then and Pisces now. Moreover, Mars cast its 4th aspect on the Lagna in both. It is intriguing and verifiable.

Testing the reading against failure

A retrospective study means nothing unless it could have failed. Therefore we published the conditions that would have contradicted this reading before we examined whether they held. This practice, negative case reporting, separates research from persuasion.

Shadbala Table Nepal Flash Flood 2026 Astrology Analysis

Every planet exceeded its minimum Shadbala, and Jupiter was exalted at 10.20 Rupas, the highest in the chart. For an individual, that would read as a fine horoscope. However, mundane astrology inverts the meaning. Strength does not indicate benefit. Instead, strength indicates that each planet could deliver its agenda completely.

Condition that would have contradicted the readingWhat the chart says
Any benefic aspect on the LagnaNone. Only Saturn’s 7th and Mars’s 4th
Lagna lord in a Kendra or TrikonaMercury in the 12th, combust by 1°35′
Neecha-bhanga satisfied for VenusNot satisfied. Debilitation stands
Saturn in a fire or air signPisces, a water sign, Saturn retrograde
Mahadasha lord Moon free of afflictionMars’s 8th aspect falls directly on the Moon
Jupiter far from its 2015 longitude0°43′ separation, same nakshatra, same pada

Frequently Asked Questions - Nepal Flash Flood 2026 Astrology

The event chart shows a Lagna with no benefic aspect, its lord combust in the 12th, and the water significator Venus debilitated in the ascendant. Exalted Jupiter aspects the Moon in Capricorn, expanding water amount, being in an earth-sign.

No. Although it can, its highly impractical to anticipate the location, to even start a predictive astrology analysis.

This study is entirely retrospective. Samhita literature does record classical disaster indications, yet Pancha Siddhi issues no forecast and no warning. We claim only that classical rules correspond to a recorded event, and for academic purposes of Jyotish.

Venus serves as Jala-karaka, the natural water significator.

Additionally, the Moon governs fluid mass, while Jupiter expands whatever it aspects. Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, carry the medium. Mars and Ketu supply the sudden, violent release.

Jupiter occupied Ashlesha pada 1 (Cancer) in both charts, separated by only 0°43′. Saturn was retrograde in both, and Mars aspected the Lagna in both.

The interval measures 11.34 years, not a full sidereal period of Jupiter, however very close.

An event chart treats a moment of physical occurrence exactly as a birth chart treats a birth. The astrologer fixes the time, coordinates, Ayanamsa and house system in advance.

Thereafter the chart is read without adjusting any parameter.

Moon Mahadasha, with Jupiter Antardasha and Venus Pratyantar Dasha.

Within these, Jupiter Sookshma-Antardasha held from 20 August, and Venus Prana-Antardasha ran 25 to 27 August 2026 – a two-day window when the destruction took place.

A total solar eclipse fell on 12 August 2026, and a partial lunar eclipse followed on 28 August.

This is why we also see the eclipses in D1 and D9 respectively. However, they were not seen from Nepal physically, it still works as omen in Jyotish Samhita.

The flood struck between them. However, eclipse analysis lay outside this study’s pre-declared scope. Therefore we see corridor as fact and claim no finding from it.

This study did not use Nepal’s foundation chart. Several competing foundation dates exist for Nepal, and a national chart invites selective reading. An event chart fixes one moment and one place instead, which keeps the analysis reproducible and open to disproof.

We know of no verifiable published forecast naming this event, date and location in advance. However, there are many great astrologers who have cautioned the public to refrain from travelling in adventurous locations or through air, at least for this year.

Retrospective analysis is far easier than prediction.

Pancha Siddhi therefore offers this case study for academic purpose, never as evidence that disasters can be foreseen.

Classical Jyotish assigns such events to Prarabdha Karma – the portion already ripened and in motion.

It offers no individual blame and no explanation of who died. It was highly unfortunate moment.

The dharmic response is acceptance, mourning, and material help to those who survived.
